Unai Emery has made an attempt to secure the future of one of the most important players in his squad according to reports on Thursday.
The new Arsenal manager has arrived at the club with a lot on his agenda, after replacing Arsene Wenger who has failed to guide the team into the Champions League for back-to-back seasons.
Emery is believed to be keen on building his team around certain players like Aaron Ramsey, who has been at the club since the summer of 2008.
And according to BBC, the Gunners have now offered the Welshman a new contract at the Emirates stadium.
Ramsey, who is on a £110,000-a-week wage, has been troubled by frequent injuries over his decade-long career at Arsenal but he remains an important player in the current squad.
The 27-year-old only has one year remaining on his contract at the club, and the Gunners are seemingly eager to avoid another situation like the one which saw Alexis Sanchez join rivals Manchester United in January.
