Arsenal now ready to sell 30-year-old star after Emery frustration
Arsenal are willing to offload one of the longest-serving players in the current squad as Unai Emery continues to identify which players can fit in his plans for the future.
The Gunners did well to sign a number of players during the summer to bolster the squad, following the arrival Unai Emery as Arsene Wenger’s replacement.
Arsenal’s new manager has not always displayed a great relationship with Mesut Ozil, whom he gave a second chance on Saturday in the clash with Burnley.
According to the Mirror, the Gunners are now ready to sell the midfielder to anyone interested in his services.
The 30-year-old agreed to sign a new contract at the Emirates stadium back in January, following the departure of Alexis Sanchez.
Emery is reportedly not interested in keeping faith in Ozil, whose work rate has often been questioned by fans and pundits in the past.
Ozil, who moved to the club from Real Madrid in 2013, is currently the highest-paid player at Arsenal.
