Arsenal plot move to sign midfielder, £448k-valued player being tracked by Gunners
Arsenal are said to be monitoring another young midfielder as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his midfield with youthful talent, in preparation for the departure of Dani Ceballos.
The Gunners have retained their traditional policy of keeping faith in young players, with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Martinelli gaining notoriety over the past season.
According to Spanish source AS, Arsenal are plotting a move to sign Real Madrid youngster Cesar Gelabert, having joined a number of European clubs who are also looking to snap up the youngster.
The report indicates that the Gunners have been tracking the 19-year-old, who is considered as one of the brightest talents from Madrid’s youth system.
Gelabert has represented Spain’s national team on the youth level, lifting the U17 European Championships before losing out to England in the U17 World Cup final in India.
The young midfielder is valued at £448,000 as per TransferMarkt, with Mikel Arteta expected to be in search for a replacement for on-loan Madrid star Dani Ceballos.
