The Gunners appear to be targeting the signing of another midfielder apart from Thomas Lemar according to new reports from the French media.

Arsene Wenger watched his side suffer their first defeat of this summer’s pre-season tour against Chelsea last Saturday.

That 3-0 loss might have alerted the Arsenal manager about the need for more signings following the arrivals of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette.

And according to L’Equipe, Arsenal are now interested in signing Jean-Michael Seri from Nice ahead of the new season.

The report is indicating that the Gunners are ready to make an offer for the 26-year-old who is valued at around €40 million (£35 million).

Wenger saw his side fail to finish in the top four of the Premier League last term after struggling in the midfield area despite the addition of Granit Xhaka.

And with Mohamed Elneny and Jack Wilshere both linked with an exit, there might soon be room for a new midfielder.
