The Gunners have confirmed that another promising young player has committed his future to the club.
Arsenal have maintained a tradition of nurturing and promoting some of the best young talent in the game over the years.
And the latest to receive the backing of the club is Reiss Nelson, who has been handed his first professional contract with the Gunners.
The 17-year-old has been a regular name on the team sheet for Arsenal’s youth team after making appearances in all of the Under-23 side’s group stage fixtures in the UEFA Youth League.
Nelson, who managed to score two goals in that particular competition despite Arsenal’s early exit, is rated as one of the country’s most promising teenagers after racking up nine goals from 10 games in last summer’s European Under-17 championship.
