Arsenal full-back Nacho Monreal has sent out a message on social media after being rewarded for his efforts over the past month by the fans.

The Spaniard moved to the Emirates stadium from Malaga back in January 2013 as a back-up for Kieran Gibbs at the time.

However, a string of solid displays from Monreal in the seasons that followed saw him cement his place in Arsene Wenger’s starting line-up.

The 31-year-old has been rotating roles between centre-back and full back over the past couple of years and he has become a key part of the defence in the new three-man back line system.

And after putting in several impressive performances so far this season, Monreal was named the club’s player of the month for September ahead of last Saturday’s clash with Swansea City.

Thus, the Spaniard took to Twitter to express his appreciation..
