Fabregas hobbled off last week with a hamstring problem against Burnley while Rosicky had to be brought off with a minor knee injury in the clash with Porto on Tuesday.

The return of Arsenal’s skipper will be a major boost to the side’s creativity while Song will be back to strengthen the Gunners’ defensive mold in the continued absence of William Gallas.

“Rosicky and Fabregas have a good chance to be ready for next week. Gallas, no.” Wenger said.

There was more good news for Wenger’s midfield options on Saturday as promising youngster Fran Merida returned from injury to fill Aaron Ramsey’s void on the bench for the first time since his goal-scoring substitute appearance in the 2-0 win at Bolton on January 17.
