New Arsenal manager Unai Emery is set to hold talks with one of the squad’s key players as he looks to resolve all contractual issues ahead of next season.

The former Paris Saint-Germain boss was recently chosen as the man to replace Arsene Wenger and he has already completed his first ever signing by securing a move for ex-Juventus star Stephan Lichtsteiner.

But there are other deals to be taken care of within the squad and that includes sorting out the contact situation of Jack Wilshere.

According to the Evening Standard, the midfielder is set to sit down with Emery over agreeing a new deal at the club in the ‘next few days’.

The Englishman, who is pocketing £90,000-a-week, has reportedly been offered a new three-year deal which will see his wages increase by £10,000.

However, Wilshere, who does prefer to remain at the Emirates stadium, is believed to be seeking assurances from Emery over how much playing time he will be given next season.
