Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has picked out two other players apart from Gabriel Martinelli who impressed him after the draw against Chelsea on Tuesday.

The Gunners knew they had a tough battle to take care of as they visited Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, less than a month after Chelsea had beaten them 2-1 undeservedly at the Emirates stadium.

With Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang still on the sidelines as he continued his suspension for the red card at Crystal Palace, Mikel Arteta’s attacking firepower was certainly weakened ahead of the trip to Chelsea.

The Arsenal boss decided to keep Alexandre Lacazette upfront even though the Frenchman has failed to score in several games.

Nicolas Pepe, who is still trying to justify his status as the club’s record signing, retained his spot as well in the team.

And even though Gabriel Martinelli was in superb form at Stamford Bridge, Arteta has revealed that the Brazilian was not the only one who impressed him.

According to the Arsenal manager, the likes of Lacazette and Pepe left him delighted with their performances as well.

“He [Martinelli] absolutely stepped up, but not just him. I think Laca’s playing at a really good level and Nico [Pepe] as well. Everybody that’s coming in, they are fighting really hard in training to try to convince us to play them more. When they question some things, I tell them to speak on the pitch and this is them speaking on the pitch.” the boss said via Arsenal.com
