Arteta reveals Arsenal attacker has suffered fitness setback

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed that young forward Reiss Nelson has suffered an injury setback in training.
The Gunners went into Saturday’s clash with Sheffield United without the services of Reiss Nelson, who recently scored the winning goal in the FA Cup third round tie against Leeds United.
The youngster has been enjoying more playing time for the first team this season after spending last year on loan in Germany.
Following the return to fitness of Gabriel Martinelli, Nelson’s spot in the team was under threat anyway but it now appears as though the young Englishman is also struggling to stay fit.
The winger was left out of the squad which welcomed Sheffield United to the Emirates stadium on Saturday in the Premier League.
With Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang currently suspended, Nelson might have fancied his chances of being handed a start, but after the match on Saturday, Mikel Arteta revealed the 20-year-old had suffered a fitness setback in training.
“We had an incident in training and the doctor is still deciding how long it’s going to take but it’s not looking good,” he said, as quoted by Football.London
