Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang appears to be very desperate to participate in the Gunners’ pursuit of glory in the Europa League this season.
After a couple of weeks of constant speculation, the 28-year-old agreed to join Arsenal during the January transfer window in a deal which made him the most expensive player in the club’s history.
Aubameyang has made a satisfactory start to life at the Emirates stadium, having scored three goals in the Premier League so far.
Based on UEFA regulations which dissallows a player from representing more than one team in a competition during the course of a season, the striker has not been able to feature for Arsene Wenger’s side in the Europa League.
However, after watching Arsenal book a place in the quarter-finals of the competition last week by seeing off AC Milan, Aubameyang expressed his wish for UEFA to change their stance by retweeting a fan whom he agreed with.
