Arsenal have received some bad news on the injury front ahead of the Premier League clash with Liverpool.
The Gunners are currently dealing much scrutiny after defeats against Watford and Chelsea before the 5-1 thrashing at Bayern Munich.
Monday night’s 2-0 win over Sutton United in the FA Cup might have relieved some of the pressure but the injury news have not gotten any better for Arsene Wenger.
According to the Mirror, Santi Cazorla is bound to remain on the sidelines for the rest of the season.
The report claims that the Spaniard is still struggling to recover from his ankle problem after undergoing surgery back in December.
Cazorla last featured for the Gunners in the 6-0 win over Ludogorets in the Champions League group stage.
The 32-year-old will not play a part in the remaining three months of the season, meaning the likes of Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka will continue to be rotated in his place in midfield.
