Barcelona back off Fabregas
Pep Guardiola will not attempt to bid for Cesc Fabregas any time soon.
Despite the Catalan club being strongly linked with a move for Arsenal’s skipper, their manager is thinking otherwise.
Considering Fabregas’ importance to his current club, Guardiola feels it will be hard to lure the midfield specialist to Camp Nou during this transfer window.
Fabregas continued to impress Europe’s interested clubs with a brace in Arsenal’s first game of the season on Saturday.
Barcelona’s boss – who is Cesc’s biggest football hero and reason why Arsenal’s captain wears the #4 shirt – will now obey Wenger’s warning on Friday by staying away from Arsenal’s influential midfielder.
“Cesc will not come,” said the Barca boss. “He is an important player for Arsenal and they have already sold Kolo (Toure) and (Emmanuel) Adebayor.
“I believe it will not be possible this season. He is a very interesting footballer but now he will play another year in England.”
To quote what Wenger said in the press, “Cesc Fabregas is not for sale at any price.” Period.
everyone keeps saying that we need veteran players…..don’t you guys realize that we have a full team of vets that have played together for the last 2 to 3 years?
