BBC journalist says Arsenal have ‘reached agreement’ to sign South American
BBC journalist David Ornstein is reporting that the Gunners are wrapping up their summer transfer business with a pair of deals for new defenders.
Last season’s failure to finish in the top four of the Premier League has prompted the need for reinforcement this summer and even though the club was quiet for a while, that has changed in the last few weeks.
According to David Ornstein, there is another signing on the way after the Gunners ‘reached an agreeement’ with Chelsea over a deal to sign David Luiz.
The deal to capture the experienced South American will cost only £8m as Arsenal sign another Chelsea veteran, four years after the addition of Petr Cech.
Ornstein has added that the Gunners are also working on a move to sign Kieran Tierney from Celtic.
The 22-year-old is set to agree a five-year deal with the club while Luiz puts pen to paper on a two-year contract.
