Gray Lineker has heaped praise on Shkodran Mustafi after witnessing him score his first goal for Arsenal on Sunday.

The Germany international was arguably Arsene Wenger’s biggest signing during the summer transfer window as he moved to the Emirates stadium from Valencia.

Mustafi has formed a strong partnership with Laurent Koscielny in his debut season at the club and he maintained his impressive record of never losing a game in an Arsenal shirt on Sunday.

The icing on the cake for the 24-year-old was scoring his first goal for the club which came at a very vital time as the Gunners struggled to break down a stubborn Burnley side.

And after watching Mustafi score with the header, Gary Lineker admitted on Twitter that he had been impressed by the defender.
