BBC’s Ornstein reveals Arsenal deal for 30-goal star is in ‘hypothetical’ state
BBC journalist David Ornstein has revealed what he knows about the current situation of Alexis Sanchez at the club.
The 28-year-old has been strongly linked with a departure as he continues to delay the decision to renew his contract which will expire in 12 months.
Sanchez is currently rumoured to be on the radar of Manchester City who have replaced Bayern Munich as favourites to lure him away from the Emirates stadium.
And according to David Ornstein Arsenal are actually willing to sell the Chile international if a tempting offer is received.
Even so, the BBC journalist also claims a new deal at Arsenal is still on the table for Sanchez who scored 30 goals in all competitions last season.
No bids for Alexis Sanchez yet. May go if price right but may sign new deal. All hypothetical. Arsenal very reticent to sell to PL club #AFC
