Arsenal manager Unai Emery appears to have made yet another controversial decision ahead of the clash with Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Very often during the latter stages of his reign at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger was bashed by several fans for not being bold enough to make certain changes which were required at the club.

However, his replacement, who moved to the club in May, has proven to be a much different character so far this season.

Indeed, Emery has made another bold call by removing Mesut Ozil from the squad to play against Liverpool, according to a report by the Daily Mail.

The report is claiming that the Arsenal squad which arrived on Merseyside on Friday did not include Ozil.

The German midfielder was substituted at half time on Wednesday against Brighton as the Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw.

It now appears as though Ozil’s uneasy relationship with Emery has taken a new turn with some speculation claiming that he could be out of the club in January.

With Ozil set to miss the clash with Liverpool, Alex Iwobi or Aaron Ramsey may be handed a start at Anfield.
