Petr Cech has expressed his frustration following Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsene Wenger’s men saw their faint hopes of finishing in the top four suffer a blow as Spurs maintained their challenge for the Premier League title.
The 2-0 defeat was Arsenal’s fourth in their last five away games in the league despite a recent resurgence which had seen them secure three straight victories in all competitions.
And according to Cech, who was arguably the team’s best performer on Sunday, the defeat left him ‘angry and disappointed’.
“Angry and disappointed because obviously this is not a game we wanted to lose and this is a very big disappointment for us.” the former Chelsea star said
“At half-time I felt we were in the game and in the second half we wanted to improve, we wanted to play to win the game.
“The second half was our best half – they put us under pressure, created chances and in the end they scored two goals.”
