The Gunners will now be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday after three straight games without a victory in the competition.

Ever since Arsenal managed to beat Burnley at the Emirates stadium last month, they have lost to Liverpool and drawn 2-2 against Tottenham Hitspur and Watford respectively in two very different scenarios.

Last weekend’s second half collapse at Watford means Unai Emery will be looking for a resounding response when his side take on newly-promoted Aston Villa at home.

New signing David Luiz was heavily criticized for his performance in that draw at Watford – which felt like a defeat – and the Brazilian might need a breather.

Emery did choose to hand Luiz a start in Thursday’s Europa League fixture but there were more signs of the lack of organisation that many have come to expect from the Arsenal defense.

Frankly, the next best move might be to actually play Calum Chambers at centre-back with someone other than the Gunners’ Brazilian summer signing.

And after his impressive show in Germany, young talent Saka deserves another chance as well.

PREDICTED LINE-UP

Mustafi – Sokratis – Chambers – Kolasinac
