David Ornstein reveals how Guardiola has reacted to Arsenal’s deal for Arteta
David Ornstein has revealed how Pep Guardiola has reacted to Arsenal landing their managerial target Mikel Arteta, who is now expected to take over the Gunners, as per many sources, including BBC.
After saying goodbye to Unai Emery towards the end of last month, the Gunners handed Freddie Ljungberg the role of interim manager while a replacement was being considered.
However, a continuation of the team’s poor run of results has seen the Arsenal board choose to make a quicker decision over who will be replacing Emery.
Ahead of the trip to Everton on Saturday afternoon, the Gunners have finally completed a deal to sign Mikel Arteta as the new manager.
And according to reputable journalist David Ornstein, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been left upset about Arsenal’s move for Arteta, whom he worked with for the past three years.
The City manager and his club reportedly fought hard to not hand the Spaniard to Arsenal, a team they could potentially compete with in the chase for the top four spots.
