Lee Dixon has revealed that Thierry Henry personally expressed his concerns over Mesut Ozil’s form ahead of Sunday’s victory over Manchetser United.

The German midfielder has received mixed reviews for his time at Arsenal after joining the club as a marquee signing from Real Madrid two years ago.

Thierry Henry, now a pundit, was involved in pre-match analysis with Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness on Sky Sports ahead of the Gunners’ clash with Manchester United.

But according to his former teammate Lee Dixon, Henry went on a rant about Ozil in a conversation they had before kick-off.

“I was speaking to Thierry before the game and he told me his biggest worry is Ozil” Dixon said on NBCSN

“He asked me ‘when will he ever show up and play in games like this?'”

However, Henry hailed Ozil’s performance after the match, stating that he “came to the party”, following a goal and an assist from the 26-year-old.
