‘Does he never attack a cross?’ – Fans give mixed reaction to Mustafi’s show vs Swansea
The jury is still out on Arsene Wenger’s new signings but one of them appears to be receiving more attention than the rest.
With the centre-back role being a position of concern for many Arsenal fans in recent years, whoever Laurent Koscielny is paired up with often faces much scrutiny.
Shkodran Mustafi has kept a clean sheet in most of his appearances for Arsenal since joining from Valencia while maintaining a 100% winning record in the Premier League.
However, the German international, who helped keep Chelsea’s in-form striker Diego Costa quiet at the Emirates stadium a few weeks ago, would admit that he came across arguably his trickiest test so far in Saturday’s clash with Swansea City.
Thus, Mustafi has received mixed reviews from Gooners for his performance against Bob Bradley’s men who were defeated despite scoring twice.
What I loved yesterday was seeing Mustafi argue with the ref about everything.Lads a fighter and just what we needed.

Does Mustafi never attacks a cross or was he just more susceptible to them last night?

Can't believe people are mostly blaming Monreal & Mustafi for conceding the 2nd goal yesterday. It was Iwobi who was late to track back imo.

Mustafi was once again brilliant yesterday. Think our defence is the strongest it's been in years. So good to watch.
