Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has offered an update on his road recovery after several weeks on the sidelines.

The Spaniard last played for Arsenal in the 6-0 victory over Ludogorets in October which saw him substituted in the final stages of the match.

Cazorla was initally expected to miss only a couple of weeks of action with what was deemed to be a mere ankle injury.

However, an Achilles problem is also troubling the 31-year-old who is now expected to be ruled out for at least two months.

After finally undergoing surgery, Cazorla has taken to social media to reassure Arsenal fans that his long road to recovery has just began.
