‘Drop him for the Barcelona game!’ – Twitter bashes Arsenal regular after Watford result
Several players were deemed culpable for the collapse which saw Watford leave the Emirates stadium with a 2-1 victory, but no one has received more of the blame than the Gunners’ main striker.
Olivier Giroud managed to score a goal for the first time in two months on Tuesday, netting a brace in the 4-0 victory over Hull City.
However, the Frenchman – who had a strike ruled out for offside – was kept off the score-sheet by the Hornets on Sunday as Arsenal bowed out of the FA Cup after a long unbeaten run in the competition.
According several frustrated Gooners, Giroud’s shortage of goals in the second half of this season means he should no longer be kept in Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven.

Last time Giroud scored in the league he was on 12 goals two ahead of Kane with 10 now Kane has 19 and Giroud's number remains the same.

I have said for the last 3 years we will never win the premiership with Giroud as our main striker he is just not good enough
As we all know Wenger has been losing the plot for a number of years now and he’s the ONLY one who does not see this! In reality he should have forgotten about the Barca game and made retaining the FA cup his priority by putting out a much stronger team! People keep going on about Giroud, what about Sanchez! He has under achieved goal wise since his return from injury, and should be benched. Welbeck & Campbell should always be in the starting 11, as they are the ones most likely to get you the elusive goal.

There is no saving stupid. Giroud has 12 league goals this season in spite of not starting for the first twelve games. He’s scored 20 goals in all competitions. And you morons want to drop him. If you idiots ran the club Arsenal would be on the verge of relegation into non-league football.
Lukaku is having a great season. He has 18 league goes in 28 appearances, all starts. That is terrific production. He demolished Chelsea practically single-handed, so he deserves credit. This is also, by far, his best season. Giroud has been at or near 20 goals in all competitions every year he’s been at Arsenal.
Every year the idiots compare Giroud to whoever is having the best season in whatever league. Last year it was Diego Costa, then Harry Kane. This year it is Lukaku. Three years ago it was van Persie, two years ago it was Cavani and Higuain and Benzema. Get a crow bar and a team of Marines and get your heads out of your rectums. Messi isn’t available. Nor is Neymar, Ronaldo, or any one of a dozen other strikers you wish you had instead of a guy who has been Arsenal’s best scorer, and one of the best scorers in the league over the last four years. Stop pining for Thierry Henri.

Yes but lets also talk about the goals that he misses and lets just say they would be easier to score than miss I just think we need a world class striker to win the premiership ans until we get one we never will win it and that is not blaming or running down Giroud but I still don’t think we will win it with Giroud as our main striker
Nothing wrong with that view, Anthony Akers. What is wrong is to assume that, somehow, a world class striker was available (meaning, selling club, buying club and player + agent are in agreement) and willing to move, but Wenger/the club wouldn’t buy just to take the Mickie, or because they are not as interested in winning trophies as the fans do.
