Arsenal manager Unai Emery is reported to be keen on selling one of his star midfielders before the January transfer window closes in a couple of weeks.

The new Arsenal manager has not been afraid to make big decisions this season and his most notable move has been to change Mesut Ozil’s role from a regular name on the team sheet to a player who is struggling to get into the team.

On Saturday, the German star was excluded from the squad which travelled to face West Ham in the Premier League.

It was one of several occasions where Ozil has been left out of the team this season and according to the Daily Mail, Emery is now looking to sell the 30-year-old before the end of January.

The report is suggesting that the new Arsenal boss wants the club to find a way to get rid of Ozil, who is currently the highest paid player at the Emirates stadium.

Emery is still chasing Barcelona star Denis Suarez and the former PSG boss wants Ozil’s wages to be cleared in other for a new signing to be brought in.
