Arsenal manager Unai Emery has confirmed that the club is indeed working on a possible deal for two players as the deadline of the January transfer window approaches.

After the team’s recent struggles in the Premier League – particularly following the 5-1 thrashing away to Liverpool last month – many were convinced that the Gunners would have welcomed at least one or two new signings by now.

However, with only a couple of days remaining in the January transfer window, Arsenal are yet to secure any new additions as the clock continues to tick.

The Gunners are rumoured to have already attempted to sign Denis Suarez from Barcelona and the next target appears to be Inter Milan attacker Ivan Perisic.

Arsene Wenger was very tight-lipped when asked about potential transfer deals during his reign but Unai Emery is a little more open about his plans.

According to the Arsenal boss, the club is currently keeping tabs on two players “who have the possibility to come here”.

“Nil or possibly two. Between nil and two.” the manager responded when asked about how many players he is looking to sign.

“If they aren’t coming to help us like we want, then we would prefer them to not come. Two because we are looking at two different players who have the possibility to come here.”
