FA Cup sixth-round draw: Who will Arsenal face?

Hull could be in the offing

By Randy Osae

The Football Association completed the draw of fixtures for the FA Cup’s quarter-finals on Sunday.

And presuming Arsenal defeat Cardiff City tomorrow to go on and get past Burnley in a delayed fifth-round tie (all at home), then up next in the sixth round of the competition will be against Sheffield United/Hull City where Phil Brown’s Tigers can fancy an edge after securing a replay at home to the Blades whom Arsenal thrashed 6-0 in the Carling Cup earlier this season.

That scenario could set up a revenging Arsenal vs Hull City fixture at the Emirates Stadium again.

An interesting factor though, is that Wenger’s men have met ALL four of the imminent/potential cup opponents before, this season.

FA Cup quarter-final draw:

Blackburn or Coventry v Chelsea

Swansea or Fulham v Manchester United

Cardiff/Arsenal or Burnley v Sheffield United or Hull City

Everton v West Ham or Middlesbrough
