Fans are slamming Mesut Ozil for his performance vs Tottenham

Many individuals on social media have given their thoughts on the performance of Mesut Ozil in the 1-0 defeat away to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

The Gunners were hoping to register their second victory in a row this weekend after the emphatic 5-1 win over Everton at the Emirates stadium last week.

Mesut Ozil, who recently signed a new contract with the club, was backed by many fans to produce an inspired show at Wembley.

However, that was hardly what transpired as Tottenham dominated the Gunners in the second half of the game on Saturday to secure a 1-0 triumph.

Ozil, along with several players in the starting eleven, failed to impress against Mauricio Pochettino’s well-organized side.

The defeat comes as a major blow for an Arsenal team who may now have to settle for having to win the Europa League in order to qualify for the Champions League next season.
