Fans react to Francis Coquelin’s performance vs Stoke City

The performance of Francis Coquelin in Saturday’s Premier League clash with Stoke City has received all sorts of reviews from the Arsenal faithful.

Coquelin returned to claim a place in Arsene Wenger’s starting line-up after missing Tuesday night’s trip to Basel due to a one-game suspension in the Champions League.

With Santi Cazorla expected to remain on the sidelines for at least two months, a lot will be required of Arsenal in central midfield as they look to maintain a serious title challenge.

Coquelin’s partnership with Granit Xhaka was given another try on Saturday and following a 3-1 victory, it appears the pair will be Wenger’s main options in that department for the time being.

To his credit, Coquelin had more interceptions and had a decent game, but those saying he was "sensational" are full of it. That was Xhaka.
