Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has revealed what he knows regarding Arsenal’s potential move for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini this summer.

The Gunners have once again been linked with a move for a host of players during the summer transfer window, following the appointment of Unai Emery as the man to replace Arsene Wenger two weeks ago.

Emery has already secured the addition of Stephan Lichsteiner and the former Paris Saint-Germain boss appears to be targeting the signing of an experienced midfielder as well.

Thus, Manchester United star Marouane Fellaini, who is pocketing £80,000-a-week, has been picked out as one of the players whom the Gunners are chasing.

But according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, the Belgium international’s high wage demands means a deal is now unlikely to be agreed.

“The problem Fellaini will have with Arsenal is a lot of the fans aren’t happy with the news that they are trying to sign him.” he said

“The other issue is his wages. The wages he wants are £120,000 a week which is [considered] too much.”
