Arsenal’s road-runner had been missing from preseason action this summer but has now revealed he may make a return against Valencia on Saturday.

The 20-year-old was excused from the Gunners’ preparations for next season due to his involvement with the England U-21s in a nearly successful European tournament.

Theo announced he came off duty with England unscathed this time and is expecting to join the squad that visits the Mestalla on Saturday for the preseason’s curtain-closer.

And his comeback proves even more significant after circulating reports claimed Tomas Rosicky has resumed time on the sidelines following a hamstring injury yesterday.

“Because of the European Under-21 Championships, me and Gibbsy came back last Monday,” Walcott said to fans on Members Day

“I’ve had a nice break – we had three and a half weeks off – but I am raring to go now.

“I’m ready to play against Valencia at the weekend if I am picked. I’ll definitely be fit.”
