One of the Arsenal first team stars who made an exit on Thursday has sent out a warm message to the fans on social media.

Despite making only two new signings, Arsene Wenger continued to trim down his squad during the week after last Sunday’s thrashing against Liverpool.

Lucas Perez finally got his wish as he was allowed to complete a move back to his former club Deportivo La Coruna, on a season-long loan at least.

The 28-year-old had been desperately seeking a way out of the Emirates stadium after a forgettable debut season under Wenger.

And after arriving back in Spain, Perez took to Twitter to show his appreciation of the Gunners faithful…
