Gary Lineker reacts to Aubameyang’s performance vs Liverpool
BBC pundit and former Premier League star Gary Lineker had a few words to share on the performance of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang after the awful 5-1 defeat away to Liverpool on Saturday.
Aubameyang has received praises from fans and pundits for his impressive goal tally, ever since he completed his move to the Emirates stadium from Borussia Dortmund in January this year.
Despite the fact that he has not always been in the starting eleven this season, the Gabon international is currently the joint-top scorer in the Premier League as he continues to challenge the likes of Mohamed Salah and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane for the Golden Boot.
The former Dortmund star was given an opportunity to increase his tally on Saturday as he made his first trip to Anfield in an Arsenal shirt.
After scoring against Brighton a couple of days ago, many fans were hoping to see Aubameyang find the back of the net again against Liverpool but Arsenal ended up suffering a 5-1 loss instead.
And here were Gary Lineker’s words on the striker’s performance….
Liverpool were so dominant that Arsenal’s striker Aubameyang only had 13 touches before he was substituted, 6 of them were kick-offs. 😬
