Gary Neville insists at least one of Arsene Wenger’s key players appears to have “had his heard turned” by transfer speculation ahead of the summer.

The Gunners’ failure to sustain a challenge for the Premier League title this season has seen several stars attract negative headlines in recent months.

Alexis Sanchez, whose contract expires next year, is rumoured to be the target of several rivals clubs after a prolific season.

And according to Neville, the Chilean international has cut a figure in recent games which suggests he is on the brink of a departure, having received offers from elsewhere.

“His body language in the last few months I’ve not seen in the last two years,” he said on Sky Sports.

“He’s gone from inspirational and driving the team to whinging and sulking a little bit.

“I think Sanchez is a fantastic player, wonderful player but I think he’s become frustrated.

“He’s had his head turned as well, there’s no doubt. The agents will be in to him.

“He will have been offered contracts elsewhere.”
