If respect and discipline epitomizes the beauty of football, then Arsenal FC are worthy champions of England.

Believe it or not, the Gunners did scoop some sort of trophy from the 2009/10 campaign.

They might have lost out to Chelsea in the title race but Wenger’s men were crowned champions of their own in another race, the FA Fair Play League.

With the FA introducing a new ‘Respect and Fair Play’ campaign this season, Arsenal became the first ever winners of the ‘English Football Association Respect and Fair Play Award’ after ending the season with just one red card to their name.

The Gunners finished top of the table in terms of points awarded for discipline, respect and behaviour. Thus, it appears the club’s mission of playing football cleanly is not far from being accomplished.

Here was Arsenal’s CEO receiving the trophy for the club during the ceremony at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
