Italian journo reveals what Arsenal will now do over move to sign 23-year-old after Pepe deal
The Gunners appear to have halted their pursuit of another attacker, following the arrival of Nicolas Pepe from Lille this week.
After a summer of no major signings, Arsenal finally gave supporters of the club a big reason to be cheerful as the deal to sign Pepe was finally completed this week.
Before the arrival of the Ivorian star, Gremio attacker, Everton Soares, who is priced at £36m (according to UOL) was also deemed as player who’s on the Gunners’ radar.
The 23-year-old was part of the Brazilian side which won the Copa America earlier this summer, but it now looks as though his next destination will not be the Emirates stadium.
According to Emanuele Giulianelli, the Gunners’ move to sign Everton has now been withdrawn, due to how expensive the cost would have been.
Unlikely Arsenal will go for Everton now, after the arrival of Pepe. Fee would have been 60- 70m in total with the €43m to Gremio and 20+ mln to investors and his first club
