Mesut Ozil got his name on the score-sheet for the German national team in their World Cup qualifier against Norway on Monday night.

The 28-year-old has attracted severe criticism in recent weeks following Arsenal’s back-to-back defeat against Stoke City and Liverpool in the Premier League.

Ozil, who only has a year remaining on his contract at the Emirates stadium, sent out a strong response to his critics via Facebook and Instagram over the weekend.

And the former Real Madrid midfielder did more on the pitch to hit back at those who have down-rated him by scoring and assisting for his country.
