Major twist as key star is ruled out of Arsenal vs Man City cup final on Sunday
Arsene Wenger’s men have been handed quite a boost ahead of this weekend’s clash with Manchester City in the final of the Carabao Cup.
The Gunners have endured an erratic campaign which has seen them sit outside of the Premier League’s top four for much of the season.
However, a magnificent 2-1 victory over Chelsea last month means there is still hope of winning silverware for Arsenal, having booked a place in the league final against Manchester City.
And ahead of the meeting with Pep Guardiola’s side, the Gunners have been boosted by the news that key City star Fabian Delph will not be able to feature.
The former Aston Villa man received a straight red card in Manchester City’s surprising 1-0 loss to Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup on Monday night.
As a result, Delph will be suspended for this weekend’s important fixture, meaning City will be missing their first choice left-back on Sunday.
