Arsene Wenger has received a new injury boost ahead of this weekend’s Premier League fixture after the international break.

The Gunners will resume action with what has often been a tricky clash against Swansea City at the Emirates stadium on Saturday.

With the usual problem of injuries to key players less of a worry so far this season, only Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck are confirmed absentees while Olivier Giroud hopes to end his brief injury lay-off.

One man also working on completing his recovery is Aaron Ramsey who has been sidelined by a hamstring problem he suffered in the 4-3 defeat to Liverpool on the opening day of the season.

According to the Telegraph, the Welshman finally returned to training this week after spending two months out of action.

Ramsey remains unlikely to be passed fit for this weekend’s Premier League affair but his progress will be good news for Arsene Wenger as well as Wales boss Chris Coleman who recently questioned the competency of Arsenal’s medical staff over the 25-year-old’s long recovery.
