Good news for Arsenal: Chelsea stars hit with injury worries ahead of showdown
Arsenal might be helped by the absence of a couple of Chelsea players in Saturday’s important clash in the Premier League.
The Gunners are looking to produce a response to the disappointing affair against Watford which saw them lose 2-1 at the Emirates stadium.
Arsenal may be dealing with their own injury concerns heading into the fixture but it appears that Chelsea have issues as well.
According to a report by the Evening Standard, Antonio Conte’s side are now sweating over the fitness of key players Eden Hazard and David Luiz.
Luiz, who scored a brilliant free-kick in the 1-1 draw against Liverpool on Tuesday, has been playing with a minor knee injury since the match against Manchester City back in early December.
Hazard is also carrying a hamstring problem he recently picked up in the 3-0 victory over Leicester City, which could affect whether he is included in the squad to face Arsenal or not.
Thus, the duo are once again expected to undergo fitness tests ahead of Saturday’s clash and Wenger will hope he is not the only one missing key players tomorrow.
