Arsenal Wenger has been handed a major boost on the injury front this week, heading back from the international break.
The Gunners have struggled for much of the second half of the season so far, having fallen well behind rivals Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United in the race for top four spots.
Arsenal’s form has improved in recent weeks but injuries, as usual, have remained a concern for Wenger.
Alexandre Lacazette, who last featured in the 1-0 defeat away to Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby, has missed several weeks due to a knee injury.
The 26-year-old’s place in the starting eleven for the Gunners has been taken by Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang who joined the club during the January transfer window.
However, Lacazette remains a very key player for Arsenal, and it was certainly good news for Wenger as he finally made his return to training on Monday morning.
The news of the France international’s return was broken by Hector Bellerin on social media.
