Guendouzi starts, Nketiah dropped: 4-3-3 Predicted team vs Man City
The Gunners will be looking to earn something from their game in hand when they take on Manchester City in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
After a very solid display on Saturday against West Ham, Bernd Leno should keep his place between the sticks while Hector Bellerin comes in for Sokratis at right back.
Pablo Mari and David Luiz should continue their centre-back partnership after consecutive clean sheets while Bukayo Saka retains his spot at left-back.
Since this is a tough away fixture, there has to be a strong midfield presence and therefore, Matteo Guendouzi will have to come back into the team and start alongside the likes of Dani Ceballos and Granit Xhaka.
The front three should consist of Nicolas Pepe, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and a returning Gabriel Martinelli, who is particularly good in away games where the opposition can give him spaces to exploit.
It is also very important that Aubameyang occupies his much-preferred centre forward role instead of Eddie Nketiah, since he carries more threat than the youngster does in that position.
PREDICTED TEAM
Leno
Bellerin – Luiz – Mari – Saka
Xhaka – Guendouzi – Ceballos
Pepe – Aubameyang – Martinelli
