‘He should be fined by Wenger’ – Arsenal fans bash Giroud for incident at PSG
Following another sending off for Olivier Giroud in his Arsenal career, some fans are convinced the striker deserves little sympathy from his manager.
The 29-year-old was sent back to the dressing room during the closing stages of Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with PSG after what was viewed as an infringement between him and Marco Verratti by the referee.
With little time left to play, Giroud’s sending off nearly helped cost Arsenal a point as the home side came close to scoring from a corner-kick with the final kick of the game.
The foul which saw the France international receive a red card remains relatively unclear but after repeating his woes from last season’s trip to Dinamo Zagreb where he was sent off in a 2-1 defeat, few fans are defending Giroud now.
Below were the reactions from social media….
Can't help but feel Giroud is taking out his frustrations of not starting

Even if it was a little harsh, I'd fine Giroud for that red card if I were AW. You're 30, don't be a prick, just walk away.

Giroud has got himself sent off like that before – very silly.
He is no kid – just stay away from people and stay onside with referees.

Giroud got two yellow cards in as many minutes and got sent off. Ridiculous.
