‘He should be sold in the morning for that’ – Twitter slams Arsenal player after Burnley moment
Despite putting in a decent shift during the FA Cup clash with Burnley on Saturday, some Gooners refused to forgive Kieran Gibbs for one unintentional moment.
An Alexis Sanchez strike on his first start since November secured a 2-1 win for the Gunners who have progressed to the fifth round of the competition yet again.
But Saturday’s victory did not come without a nervy moment or two as the visitors managed to equalize only ten minutes after Arsene Wenger’s men had taken the lead.
That goal from Sam Vokes came after Burnley unsettled the Gunners’ defense with a move which saw Kieran Gibbs somehow tackle Francis Coquelin (by mistake) in the build-up.
With the vital Frenchman fresh from an injury lay-off, there were mixed reactions from fans on social media.

So despite having a solid game, Gibbs slipping into Coquelin means that he's shit and needs to be sold? Cool.

Gibbs should be sold asap…very average player has nothing to offer in terms of a viable option

I wonder how much Flamini paid Gibbs to try to injure Coquelin.

Kieran Gibbs should be shown the video of him taking out Coquelin on a loop for hours, with Bould slapping him and shouting 'Stupid boy!'

Not to be to hasty folks, players will never be at their best or sharp sitting on long on the bench. Wenger still has to master the art and competence of using his entire squad through a better rotation process.
We want to get rid of Gibbs, Walcott, the Ox and Silva, to our folly but these guys will be great squad players if we give them more time to shine. Every player will go through periods of rust.
THEY WILL COME GOOD!
Wellington Silva will be a great player if he gets the right nurturing and so will be the Ox.
Bunch of whinny Wankers…..A mistake is a mistake you oh so perfect fools.
F you guys..
