‘He was dreadful, League 1 standard’ – Twitter bashes Arsenal star after display vs Preston

Despite Arsenal’s 2-1 victory against Preston North End, certain players did not escape criticism from the fans after final whistle.
The team from the second tier of English football threatened to heap more pressure on Arsene Wenger by coming close to eliminating Arsenal from the FA Cup after a dominant first-half display which saw them go 1-0 ahead.
However, the Gunners managed to fight back in the second-half as goals from Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud spared the away side’s blushes.
Saturday night’s affair saw Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain return to the starting line-up after being dropped for Aaron Ramsey in the midweek trip to Bournemouth.
But after being substituted for Danny Welbeck as Arsenal chased the winning goal late on, it was clear that Wenger had not been impressed with the performance of Oxlade-Chamberlain.
And here were the reactions on social media…
If Oxlade Chamberlain stopped spending 99% of the time moaning at the linesman he might even make an average footballer! #afc #pnefc

Welbeck has been in for 30 seconds and has already contributed more than Oxlade-Chamberlain

Felt this game was a real opportunity for Oxlade-Chamberlain to make his mark, run at the Preston defence and make things happen. Wasted.
