High demand for Eboue to leave Arsenal
Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli is the latest to express desire of having Emmanuel Eboue jump ship to join the Italian club.
Serie A’s fourth-placed side last season have been linked with a move for Eboue since the Ivorian’s future became skeptical last season.
Fiorenta were eager to include the 26-year-old in any deal Arsenal were to strike for former target Felipe Melo.
Prandelli has now revealed Fiorentina will not be giving up on the versatile right-back’s services any time soon.
“Eboue is a very important player,” he said. “In attack he is second to very few players in his role.
“I’m not going to look at other positions because first we want to evaluate what we have in order not to make the slightest mistake in the market.
“We have to make targeted moves. Eboue has characteristics which we are definitely looking for.
“We want to attack a lot on the wings and so we need players who are good at forcing their way through and with good technical skills too.
“I repeat that this Arsenal lad has a stand-out driving force.
“I don’t want to think about other roles at the moment, also because he is not yet our player.”
Eboue is currently on preseason duty with Arsenal in Austria and is certain to feature on Monday against Szombathely Haladas.
Great sell Eboue for Anything above 5 million, then get Paddy Vieira back for a couple of years on the cheap to do the holding midfield destroyer role. He would e fantastic for us! Why let bl**dy Sp*rs get him when he is tailor made for the position we have the most need for!!!!!! Is it because Wenger is too proud to bring back a player he let go too soon?
The signing of vermealen is pointless at the moment because he is another Gallas type defender although hopefully not with the same attitude. We need a big centre back still who can dominate the air in the box, and with the added height that Paddy would give us, just think of the strength when defending and at corners!
Wenger should keep Eboue because he is versatile. He makes a good cover for players who are injured be it in defense or midfield.
I agree with the above. No more departures, please. The point is to keep the squad together. Wenger has enough funds without needing to sell.
Plus, Eboue is versatile, playing in right/left back, right midfield, and centre midfield (once, okay, lol). Add that to the fact that he had a dramatic second half to the season, in a good way and his popularity within the squad, and I feel that his departure may do more harm than good.
wenger should get fired and the board and let the fans have the money to choose what type of player neede
Wenger..wenger…wenger… just shut the f**king opition up!! wenger just a stubborn coach and to many theory!!
