Some Arsenal fans were rather cheerful about the news of a possible injury to one of Unai Emery’s key players in midfield, heading back from the international break this week.

Following the draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates stadium, Emery will be hoping to see his side get back to winning ways when the squad returns from the international break.

However, the Arsenal boss has been hit with a couple of injury worries with the news of Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka carrying injuries heading back from the duty with their countries.

As reported earlier, journalist Ben Dinnery revealed that the duo are set to be assessed after sustaining an achilles problem and a knock respectively.

But it appeared as though most of the fans who responded to the injury update were divided over which player’s injury mattered more. In fact, several fans were rather happy to hear that the much-maligned Granit Xhaka was potentially facing a spell on the sidelines.

Here were a few responses to Dinnery’s report that Xhaka had an injury concern, with some fans clinging on to hopes of the midfielder being dropped out of the team after his underwhelming recent displays.
