The month of November has often not been kind to Arsenal in recent seasons and this year, history looks set to repeat itself.

Over the past decade or so, Arsenal have attracted much criticism for failing to sustain a title challenge for the entirety of a season after 12 years without winning the Premier League.

Apart from a dramatic collapse in form, injuries to key players have usually derailed Arsenal’s hopes of finishing top of the table ever since Martin Taylor broke Eduardo da Silva’s leg in 2008.

That horrific incident to the then promising Arsenal striker occurred in February but the seasons which followed saw the Gunners suffer injury blows particularly in November.

Following the news that Hector Bellerin will be ruled out for a month due to an ankle ligament injury while Alexis Sanchez nurses a slight calf problem, it is safe to say that the trend of alarming injuries during November has continued in 2016.
