‘I am ready’ – Boost for Arteta as 23-year-old confirms he is now back for Arsenal
New Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been handed an injury boost ahead of the trip to Bournemouth this week, following the return of one of his potentially key midfielders on Monday.
The Gunners have had their usual bad luck with injuries this season, having dropped further down in the Premier League table after a worrying string of results over the past three months.
Missing from the squad since early November is Dani Ceballos, who has been nursing an injury in a roller-coaster first campaign in north London after his loan move from Real Madrid during the summer.
Following almost two months out of action, the Spaniard has confirmed that he finally made a return to training on Monday morning.
Ceballos, who has declared himself fit to play, was finally back in action at London Colney today as the team prepared for the trip to Bournemouth with Mikel Arteta now in charge of proceedings.
