Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has lauded Jack Wilshere for securing a loan move to Bournemouth this summer.
The Arsenal star turned down offers from clubs like Juventus, AS Roma and AC Milan to remain in the Premier League with Eddie Howe’s side.
Wilshere’s move on transfer deadline day has received a positive reaction from most fans and pundits after the midfielder endured injury-plagued campaigns over the past five years.
Carragher has joined in on the praise for the 24-year-old’s loan move but the ex-Liverpool star insists Arsenal should have sold him instead.
“The transfer window created many talking points but the deal I was happiest to see completed was Jack Wilshere’s move to Bournemouth,” Carragher told The Daily Mail.
“I’m delighted he has left Arsenal and I only wish the two clubs had been able to find a way of making the switch permanent.”
